Leadership of the Ghana Christian University Alumni Association
Innovation, for me, begins with faithful listening. I believe meaningful change emerges when we pay attention to the needs of a community, reflect prayerfully on God’s leading, and respond with courage and humility. Rather than pursuing innovation for its own sake, I see it as an expression of faithful stewardship—using the gifts, relationships, and opportunities God has entrusted to us to renew communities and strengthen institutions for future generations. This conviction shaped my involvement with Ghana Christian University College after graduating in 2018. As a grateful alumnus, I saw not simply an organization in need of leadership, but a community that had given so much to my own formation. Serving the Alumni Association became my way of giving back to the institution that had invested in my life. When I was entrusted with a dormant alumni Facebook group, I saw an opportunity to reconnect graduates rather than merely manage a social media page. By bringing together existing online communities, we re-engaged hundreds of alumni, established an interim leadership team, and laid the foundation for a renewed Alumni Association committed to strengthening relationships, supporting current students, and contributing to the university’s long-term flourishing. That experience reinforced a lesson that continues to shape my ministry today: innovation is rarely about creating something entirely new. More often, it is about recognizing overlooked possibilities, bringing people together around a shared vision, and faithfully stewarding what God has already placed in our hands.
Homecoming Event
Since our formal introduction in 2023, we have made significant strides in various areas, beyond Strengthening Alumni Networks, Establishing a Constitution and Organizational Structure, and Supporting the University’s Mission: In collaboration with the university, we organized our first successful Homecoming Event. This event brought together alumni from various parts of the world, fostering deeper connections and a renewed sense of belonging to the Ghanacu community.
Student Leadership in 2017 - Ghana Christian University College
When I was elected Student Representative Council (SRC) President of Ghana Christian University College, I understood the role as an opportunity to steward the university’s future rather than simply represent its students. Guided by a commitment to faithful leadership, collaboration, and institutional renewal, I sought to bring people together around a shared vision for the flourishing of our university community. One of the initiatives that emerged from this vision was Operation I-Will-Build-My-University, a campaign that encouraged students to become ambassadors for the institution. By God’s grace, the initiative contributed to the recruitment of more than 145 new students, helping the university record its highest enrollment in six years. Recognizing that stewardship also involves creating environments where people can thrive, I worked with government leaders and university administrators to secure and install additional LED streetlights across campus, improving safety, visibility, and the learning environment. I also believed that a healthy community begins with belonging. During my tenure, I helped facilitate the integration of the GHANACU and YIT student communities by bringing together their leadership structures, harmonizing their constitutions, and developing a shared identity that reflected the university’s evolving mission. Beyond campus, we strengthened the university’s relationships with national student bodies, increasing its visibility and participation in wider student leadership networks. Looking back, these experiences taught me that innovation is rarely about introducing something entirely new; it is about listening well, bringing people together around a common purpose, and faithfully stewarding the opportunities God places before us.
