About Nathan Adu-Gyamfi

Welcome! I’m Nathan Adu-Gyamfi. I am a pastor, theologian, and educator who is passionate about helping people encounter Christ, grow in faith, and serve their communities with hope, compassion, and purpose.

My Journey

I was born and raised in Ghana, where my love for Christ, Scripture, and the Church first took root. My ministry began there as a Pastor and National Deputy Presiding Elder with Keystone Gospel Ministry, where I also taught Biblical Theology, Homiletics, Ministerial Ethics, and Leadership Development at Breakthrough Bible College, helping prepare future ministers for pastoral service. God later called me to the United States to continue my theological formation at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where my understanding of ministry has been enriched through Lutheran theology, Clinical Pastoral Education, and preparation for the Ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Today, I serve as a Pastor Intern at Augustana Lutheran Church, where I continue to grow in preaching, pastoral care, worship leadership, and congregational ministry. Throughout this journey, I have remained committed to proclaiming the gospel, teaching God’s Word, mentoring leaders, and serving communities with compassion, justice, and hope.

Ministry in Practice

My ministry has been shaped by both formal theological education and practical ministry experience. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a concentration in Conflict Management from Ghana Christian University and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Luther Seminary. Beyond the classroom, God has formed me through pastoral ministry, theological education, and leadership development. For more than ten years, I served as an educator in Ghana. Teaching young people has been one of the greatest joys of my vocation and continues to shape the way I approach ministry. That experience now enriches my work with children, youth, and families, and faith formation within the church.  Beyond the local church, I founded the I AM BLACK Ministry, a Pan-African Christian movement dedicated to reconnecting, reconciling, and resourcing Black and African people through Pan-African heritage, faithful stewardship, and God-centered solidarity. 

My Favorite Hymn

This hymn has accompanied me through seasons of joy, uncertainty, loss, and new beginnings. It reminds me that God’s promises remain steadfast regardless of life’s circumstances. As I continue to serve Christ and His Church, its message echoes the confidence of Philippians 1:6—that the God who begins a good work is faithful to bring it to completion.
