A New Chapter At Luther Seminary
Driven by my desire to expand my theological knowledge and engage with diverse cultures, I chose to pursue further studies at Luther Seminary in the United States. Here, I continue to deepen my understanding of theology while preparing to serve God’s people globally. My time at Luther has allowed me to explore new perspectives, challenge my own beliefs, and grow in my calling to ministry.
Throughout my journey, I have remained committed to integrating my faith with social action. My hope is to continue proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ while working toward justice, peace, and reconciliation within communities.

Time in Luther
In pursuit of a deeper understanding of my faith and a broader theological perspective, I embarked on a new chapter in my spiritual journey by enrolling at Luther Seminary in the United States. Starting my Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program in 2022, I found myself immersed in a diverse and enriching environment that challenged my existing beliefs while offering me new insights into Christian ministry, theology, and leadership.
Luther Seminary, with its rich tradition in theological education, was different from my earlier spiritual upbringing. Coming from a Pentecostal and Messianic Jewish background, I initially found it challenging to adapt to the more liturgical and academic approach of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). However, it was this diversity of thought and practice that drew me deeper into the richness of Christian tradition. Over time, I began to appreciate the Lutheran emphasis on grace, scripture, and social justice, which resonated with my own evolving faith journey. I have since embraced the term 'Luthercostal,' reflecting the blend of my charismatic roots with the theological depth of Lutheranism.

My Family Joined me
The seminary provided me with opportunities for spiritual growth and leadership development. I have had the privilege of learning from a diverse group of professors and students, each bringing unique perspectives to the theological conversations. Courses in Leadership and Innovation for Ministry, Old and New Testament Studies, Pastoral Care, Thinking Theologically, and Truine God and the World broadened my understanding of the gospel's transformative power in society.
A significant aspect of my journey at Luther Seminary has been the mentorship I’ve received. One of the most influential figures during this time has been Pastor John Anderson, Director of Rural Ministry at the seminary. Known affectionately as ‘Bishop,’ his thoughtful listening and reflective guidance have had a profound impact on me. He would often say, "What I hear you say is…" as he helped me process my thoughts and experiences. His wisdom and encouragement have been instrumental in my formation as a minister, and his support inspired me to found the International Student Association at the seminary.

First Lutheran Church
Through the seminary’s focus on spiritual formation, I was able to deepen my connection with the Ministry of Word and Sacrament, which I feel called to pursue. Luther Seminary's emphasis on practical ministry, combined with a robust academic foundation, has equipped me to serve not just as a pastor but as a leader who can navigate the complexities of faith and life in a global context.
In addition to academic work, my involvement with the First Lutheran Church in St. Paul has been an essential part of my formation. Serving alongside seasoned pastors and engaging with the congregation has given me hands-on experience in pastoral care, preaching, and sacramental ministry. These experiences have been invaluable in preparing me for future ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Luther Seminary has not only shaped my theological perspective but also deepened my passion for social justice, conflict resolution, and leadership development. My time here has been a journey of transformation—one that has refined my calling to serve as a pastor, a leader, and a bridge-builder between diverse communities and faith traditions. As I continue on this path, I look forward to integrating my experiences from Luther Seminary into my future ministry, both in the U.S. and globally.
